Passenger 11A

On June 12, 2025, Air India Flight AI-171 tragically crashed shortly after takeoff from Ahmedabad, resulting in the deaths of 241 passengers and several individuals on the ground.

Remarkably, 40-year-old British national Vishwash Kumar Ramesh, seated in 11A—often deemed one of the least desirable seats—survived the disaster. His proximity to an emergency exit likely contributed to his escape.

Ramesh recounted waking amidst wreckage and bodies before being rescued and hospitalized. His brother, also on the flight, remains unaccounted for.

The incident has sparked discussions about seat safety and the unpredictable nature of such tragedies.
